In Scott Russell Sanders' essay, "The Men We Carry In Our Minds," discusses about his personal perception of the conflict of gender equality that culminated in his mind after witnessing the harsh lives of his surrounding group of people. As well he explains in this essay that men in his time had little choice on their future. He also says that men will only survived if they were a factory worker or a soldier. And he always believed he would become one of this two. Also believe that women had and easier life since they wont be working in a factory or risking their life for others like a soldier. And when he realized that women also go through stuff he was shocked because he always believes women had an easier, enjoyable life.
The purpose of this essay is to recognize that man and women go through hard situations equally but somehow theirs a point were men think they go through a lot more.
